I would appreciate a little advice. When using MACD in mt4 the appearance resembles a histogram, but the guide in the school has a line graph. Is it possible to alter the appearance of mt4 or what is the best way to tell the exact moment of a crossover?

Not that I know. But you can draw an horizontal line in that screen and that makes it a bit more obvious.

Manual, I am just trying to learn how the different indicators work.
Okay, if automated you could write a small script calculating the precise value. But for manual you have to work with what you have.
