That is hilarious. Now that I think about it, I don’t think it’s possible to reverse image search photos used on social media especially if they are “private accounts.” Brings to mind a a friend whose photo was used for online dating purposes. Yours might just be on Tinder as we speak @dpaterso!

You need to realize something:
There is so much BS on these forums it’s not funny. Just spend an hour going through the inane BS posts in just the last twenty four hours and you’ll see what I mean. I know for sure after I returned here in May (after a few years sabbatical from forums) I’ve spent hours trying to answer queries and it took me a while to realize that many are fake accounts. So you need to factor this into the equation before you get upset with the posts here.
You also need to realize that we were just having some fun is all. If that’s really you in that pic.: you cannot seriously tell me that you don’t get attention wherever you go.
Anyway and back to the business of trading…
I was only joking about going through my posts. If you’re really interested I can shortcut the entire operation and point you to those that matter.
As for going through the school: many will disagree with me but you’re wasting your time. Well put another way: all depends on how long you want to study this crap vs. how soon you’d like to start trading and making a little bit of money. And without knowing anything about you or your background: unless you have some degree in finance or economics then I don’t see the sense. I’ve said this so many times around here it’s not funny: but how is somebody who knows nothing about all of this and about economics etc. supposed to grasp fundamentals from a quick read through some online school. Most of the Finance Ministers and analysts on Bloomberg don’t get it. So what chance does a new trader stand of getting it I ask you.
Anyways. There’s my take on things.

Alright. Here we go.
Well what’s your background??? I mean: with having paid this money every month do you at least know what a chart is, how to place orders, what the different types of orders are, how to add an indicator to a chart, what risk management is and how to calculate risk per trade, how to calculate position sizes, and so on and so forth.
I’ve been at this lark since 2005 and in my experience: the only way any new trader is going to cut it is by finding a mechanical trading system and somebody that knows that system inside and out and is prepared to coach on it for as long as it takes for the trader to understand it and be able to trade it themselves and move on. Happy life. Done. There is just too much information out there for somebody who is new to this to grasp and understand and make sense of and not to mention that much of it is contradictory. By the time you figure this all out: you’ll either have lost enough money along the way to put you totally off for good or you’ll be OLD and it’ll be too late to even care about it.
Anyway. There’s more than one of such systems floating around here. And I’ll point them out. But I do need to now exactly where you’re at in the knowledge department as per my first paragraph here.
And let me also add or ask this: your reasons for wanting to get into this business are also important. Is this for fun, a means to an end, just for spare cash, in financial sh1t and need to get out of it, have a job but would like to see if it’s possible to do this full time and work from home, etc. etc. etc. The answer to this is important because the goal posts and certain other requirements are WAY different for each scenario.
My apologies about that, I had no intentions of discouraging you. And yes, @dpaterso is correct, we were being just being silly.

ok I know how to use mt4 and sort of how to add indicators, I know how to use IML tools such as the web analyzer.
I understand what all the basics mean etc just not how to put them together to actually make money
