Is it really just because it’s the holiday season? Or is it because the economy (US economy) is thriving? Are all the permabears wrong?
There are a number of countries teetering on the brink of recession and as much as the Democrates would like you to believe, the USA is not one of them. Not even close.

Interesting. Why do you think that is? Fed? Or more factors? 
Yes poor economic growth, rising unemployment, poor wage growth and high levels of personal and government debit coupled with higher energy and commodity prices.
This is happening in many of the European countries as well as Australia and it is unsustainable.
The USA is the exception to the rule. Thanks to D. J. Trump.
