Hi Jason,

For the last three hours, evertime i place an order on my mt4 demo account, i get “market is closed” as the response to my order?

Missed three trade set ups today…i’m just glad this is demo…

I’m also using FXCM’s MT4 and have been experiencing the same problem lately…if it’s not that, then it says “context busy” or something about too many transactions…even some of my pending orders don’t get triggered…very frustrating!

to many transactions? You mad scalper you. You must be over loading there servers with your pending orders lol

Yeh… May want to lay off on the coffee if you are getting that error.

I may have a few pending orders but they aren’t all trying to trigger at the same time…only one was! It’s not me…honest! And I drink tea…(with Bailey’s :wink: )

Hey Jason…what’s going on with MT4 over there at FXCM? Price isn’t moving on any pairs right now!

I talked to FXCM through their chat, and apparently they are having technical issues with their demo servers…hmmm.

Hi Everyone,

I apologize for the inconvenience. We had a tech issue on our MT4 demos this morning. It should be resolved now, but let me know if you still have any difficulties. Had live accounts been affected, you would have been able to log a case to be reviewed by the Trade Audit Committee, and they would credit your account for any money lost due to the problem.

Hi Arrri,

It sounds like your account is with another broker. FXCM does not offer MT5 . The platforms we offer include MT4, Trading Station, Mirror Trader and NinjaTrader.

Oh! my account is demo, got it thanks. i have a question the triangle methods and other methods are real! it doesn’t mean because all of us use this sign the market go up and down based on our supply and demand, i mean these are strong dependent together.

This is subject is actually greatly debated. Does technical analysis really work to help predict futures prices? Or are markets efficient to the point that past prices can’t be used to predict future prices? Or does technical analysis work, but only as a self-fulfilling prophecy because we expect it to work?

Hi all,

I know this thread is a bit old now but the problem is still there. I was having this error 132 Market is closed mid week on my Alpari account before they became insolvent and it has just happened to me again on ActivTrades on the D1 charts on wednesday.

Trying to find an answer I came across this similar thread at strategyquant.
