I have never been a fundamental trader, nor ever truly cared about the news. I liked the volatility spike the news creates but never the underlying principles. I am trying to learn how to understand the undercurrents of the current markets. What are the major elements that you as a fundamental trader look for in the news, economic reports, or other avenues to help judge overall market sentiment of a specific currency? What are the most important or influential factors that contribute to this overall market direction? What are the key signs that you look for that will precipitate a change in this sentiment or bias? I know I am really plugging away at basically every major part of fundamental analysis. What I am trying to get here is how do you aggregate the plethora of information from economic reports, central bank statements, and other factors to create this overall picture? Then as the markets reflect your view to be correct (obviously if your doing it correctly the market should reflect your opinion i assume). What are the key indicators or factors you see brewing before a major shift?
