According to the Telegraph Theresa May’s name is now so toxic that The campaigners in the forthcoming Local Elections dare not even mention her name on the doorsteps because the people think “Betrayal”
That is worth repeating - "Because I believe in Democracy"
"Because I believe in Democracy" "Because I believe in Democracy"
That is the difference we are now seeing between the Globalists (Marxists) who believe that the end justifies the means -
And what they are calling ; the “Populists” - (Those who believe in Democracy )
It seems surprising that so many “Globalists” are to be found in the “Conservative Party” - given that their aims are so much in line with Marxian philosophy - but as we are now aware, most of the younger Politicians are straight out of University where they were mainly “Educated” by Leftist Professors - according to most contemporary thinking people - “Indoctrinated” we used to call it !
Dangerous and something for us to be taking notice of !
Here’s a conversation from February between Galloway and Farage which seems quite predictive.
Around 40 years ago, along with two work colleagues, we got into a taxi in the UK’s second largest city Birmingham.
One of my friends was an avid UK soccer fan and asked the driver about the then poor form of Birmingham City Club.
“We are not allowed to comment on Politics, Religion or Football” was the reply. Then the driver hesitated, “since you are from Ireland here’s what i think is wrong”.
The Professors at our universities read the same dogmatic books and articles and have the same misguided opinions and biases as your American ones.
It is OUR fault as the older generation because WE took our eyes off the ball and just ASSUMED that universities were basically devoted to searching for truth and fostering Critical Thinking, as they were in our day !
I have to say that it is with thanks to people like Dr Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro and indeed Nigel Farage and George Galloway, that there is any vestige left of “Free Speech”
We may be late in realising what is going on - But once realised, the Brits are pretty dogged fighters !
There is a saying "Cometh the time, Cometh the man"
Which we can relate to with respect to Winston Churchill and Maggie Thatcher.
People are beginning to say that in Nigel Farage we have another great man in the same league ! A man who pretty much alone has caused a Referendum, Won it, and if Hilary Clinton is to be believed, caused her to be outvoted in her destiny by the deplorable upstarts who insisted on voting for Donald Trump !
It now looks as though he is pretty much destined to mortally wound the Tory Party and could just get us right out of the European Political Union.
Hmmm… I know one of these guys, he might say that perhaps “opinions and biases” are objective.
Anyways, in my humble opinion, the only people that I give thanks to for the right of free speech are those men and women who confronted the evil of authoritarianism, many of whom gave their lives and most of whom were not politicians.
A young Catholic woman out for a Sunday evening jog said she was relieved that a resolution to the dispute had been reached.
Nodding towards the camp across the road she said: "It shouldn’t have been allowed to go on this long. I was fed up looking at that protest. I’m not bothered about the march on Saturday morning. I’ll be in my bed and won’t hear a thing. Anyone who doesn’t want them to walk should just stay in their beds until its over. It’ll be over in five minutes."
News of the breakthrough in the dispute was warmly welcomed by politicians and police.
First Minister and DUP leader Arlene Foster said the agreement was “a welcome development” and “a significant step”.
While there has been a lot of will among both communities to resolve this parading issue there is still some way to go to eradicate the inbred mistrust and the “them and us” mentality.
"I don’t see why them ones have a problem. It’s a public road and it (the parade) would be past them in a couple of minutes. We wouldn’t have had all this trouble if the parade hadn’t been stopped in the first place," said a Twaddell resident…"
Again - I’m not quite sure what you are trying to say here if it’s not intended as a smear ?
But ok = I’m now educated that she is in favour of people beng able to walk down a public road
