The strategy tester charts works fine with the buys and sells as instructed to the EA, but the actual execution triggers are late by the EA and some times no triggers at all. This results into loss, though if triggers happen in the EA according to instructions profit would be consistent. Any solutions?
I’m not a fan of those strategy testers (especially if it is the Metatrader’s one). Maybe you should contact the EA provider for any solution. However, have in mind that when running a test on past chart history I don’t believe that factors like spread and slippage can be really tested (unless you are using a no slippage broker with fixed spreads), because they depend on the current market situation in real time.
