Meta Trader with two brokers at the same time

Hi.
I’d like to sign up with two brokers (DEMO) which both use metatrader as a trading platform.
Do i have to install MT twice for each broker? or is it the same APP with different sign up accounts?
If i have to install twice for each broker will one application overide the other?

Yes, you will have to install MT4 twice.

Although it’s a software used by many, every broker tweaks it a little so that it works only with that broker.

You will have to download MT4 from two brokers websites and install.

I’m not qualified to answer if there might be any conflicts between the two MT4 programs, but I don’t think so.

I myself uses two MT4. no conflict happens.
just install in different folder.
it should be fine.

Funny I just posted that I am doing this right now in another thread. I have 2 metatrader4 instances running as I type this. One for FXCM and one for MBTrading. Interesting to see the pricing differences between a broker and a psuedo ECN provider. I DID have to DL the program and install from EACH company.

I have used two or more brokers demos many times for developing code. There is no problem running them on the same machine other than some response degradation at busy times.

No conflict whatsoever.

I trade on one account and use multiple MT4s and there’s no conflict either. This actually works great if you’re running several EAs at the same time. Avoids the pesky Error 146 (I think that’s the number).

Yes you have to download the MT4 from each broker and no there is no conflict at all. You can run as many as you want/need. Most traders use multiple brokers and therefore have multiple MT4 platforms running at the same time.

it is seperate you do not need worry about it . why do you need trade in two broker ?

two demos is a really good measure to prevent trading with misleadign quotes. They can have a bit of disrepancy, but for no more than 3-5 pips. For example I use hotforex live acc and avatrade demo to check the quotes accuracy and max divergence that I had was 10 pips (though it was during NFP release :))

Is there also a comparison matrix between Hotforex and Avatrade? I’d like to see their differences.
