Metatrader window viewing problem

On my previous laptop I was able to release the individual chart windows from the viewing frame and move them freely onto my secondary monitor, which enabled me to follow more charts at one time, and see more of each chart.

On my new Sony Vaio, I can no longer do that. I can move the whole of the Metatrader interface onto the monitor, but the individual charts are locked into the frame. They move within it, but I can’t release them from the frame.

Does anyone know how I can overcome this?

Many thanks.

It’ll be because you’ve installed a piece of software to do that, it’s name slips me, but if you look in your program list, you’ll be able to identify it, then you can search the internet for it and install it on your new computer. (if it’s still available and double check if it’s virus free)

i have the same problem. could you explain how you got it to work?
thanks

I haven’t been able to solve the problem. I can’t identify the piece of software from my programs list because it would have been on my former laptop which died, and I have no idea what the name of it might be. I gave up trying to solve the problem as I often need to access other stuff while I’m trading anyway, and I had other problems with my Metatrader which necessitated uninstalling it and starting again, which was a pain as I had loads of EAs and indicators that I didn’t really want to lose. However it has simplified a lot of things and cleared out clutter so not all bad.
