MetaTrader4 for Mac

I’ve an Apple (3 years old) and I’d like to use the MetaTrader4 platform on it.

You’ll need to partition it and run a virtual server on it. I used Parallels on my Mac to run Windows on it that allowed me then to run Metatrader 4.

but my Apple isn’t so new
so my fear is that this virtual server could slow down the speed of my Mac.

Are there any other solution or the only one is to run a virtual server?

I was considering using parallels or VM Ware as well…my concern is what kind of security precautions do I need to take in respects to virus’ and malware? I would only be using it to run MT4, no web browsing or emails.
