Micro Accounts

Hello

I am new to the forum and need some help.

I have been practice trading for 16 months and have
take two very good forex trading courses. I am now
ready to start trading with real $$. and want to start off with
a micro account.

Can anyone give me some addvise??

Thanks

Who have you been practice trading with?

Why not use them?

How much money have you been practicing with?

The idea of practicing is also to find out all you can about
the whole forex business.

Need more info.

I know you feel ready, actually the courses are good for everyone, but you want to open an account by yourself, which is very ambitious, because I think you dont even have a demo, so be aware for everything you see, there are a lot of people aut therewith more experience than you, and they want your money.

Even with a micro accounts you can lose money. I dont think u can be ready for invest real money. I think you have to read more that you have, because nobody after couple of week, want to invest real money.

He said that he has been demo/practice trading for 16 months. That’s more than a year of demo trading. Of course time doesn’t matter, if your not ready your not ready. I think we can leave that to Squeeg.

If your taking your first step into trading live money, starting out with a micro account IS a good idea. Don’t be afraid to run back to the demo if it doesn’t work out as you planned. Your first goal should be not to lose money, haha.

There are a few brokers who offer micro accounts, many of them do not. I have had a little experience with only two of them (and let me reiterate LITTLE experience means just that.)

FXCM is a good platform, BUT their micro division has ZERO technical support. This is supposedly to keep cost down to guarantee you a good spread. The good thing about FXCM is that they are a very well established broker that everyone knows.

FXDD also seemed to be good, they have an MT4 option and they have 24 hour technical support for ALL traders. FXDD doesn’t seem to be as popular as FXCM to me, but when I spoke to their sales / technical support, they seemed very friendly and willing to help.

Happy Pipping! - Don’t get rid of your demo!

Oanda will let you trade as little as $1.00/US but they don’t support MT4. Their demo runs indefinitely and only expires after you haven’t used it for 30? (I think) days. I believe you can open an acct with them for only $250. No 800 number for support however, just your regular long distance charge. Free “Chat” help though. d.
