Micro Futures launching in May 2019

This could be of interest to anyone wanting to trade futures, although the micro contracts will not offer currency futures sadly (or at least for now).

It seems they are going to launch new futures on indexes like S&P, but it would be quite interesting if they would launch similar contracts on the main (most popular) commodities - Crude oil (CL) and Gold (GC). Those futures are relatively expensive and bear substancial risks for non-professional traders so they have to use ETFs if they want to trade these commodities. At the same time, ETFs have several disadvatages: for example, they could be traded only during regular trading session, while commodities are traded 24h/day that can cause price movements at the time stock exchanges are closed. Such situation creates additional gaps which would be better to avoid to prevent unexpected losses/

Most brokers offer CFD’s on indices, crude oil, gold and many other commodities, many of which are open continually from Sun/Mon to Fri- Just like forex, with the exception of brief daily maintenance breaks.
