agree - I tested this EA for some time on a LIVE account using micro lots - you cannot test this on a demo account as the results will be different. I’ve found a decent broker that has their servers located in the same building as my VPS provider. I made 91 pips yesterday and 46 the day before. You MUST test this EA first and tweak it before you start upping your risk on your live account, and more importantly as harpy mentioned, your VPS and broker combination will be the makers or breakers of this EA.
I would like to try MDP with Go Markets. This will be my first EA and subsequently I would like to have a VPS for it. Can anyone recommend a VPS in Sydney for around $25-$30 per month?
Go Markets recommend Crucial Paradigm & Mammoth VPS but they seem expensive or is this the going rate for VPS?

I’d check with GO markeds where theire servers are located before choosing a VPS.
It could be they have a server located in the UK or US, but the clue is to get a VPS as close to the brokers server.
40ish USD for a VPS seems quite common if you want a managed server (with some bloat-ware). But if your a tad tech savey you could save some on getting a semi-managed or even a non managed one.
I got a VPS from ThrustVPS in the UK for about 7 USD a month where I had to set up the server myself, but its quite easy realy. Pretty much like having a second PC where you have to do all yourself, like backup, anti-virus, updating the OS once in a while and so on. If you can manage that, why get a fully managed server for a steep price?

MDP is doing really well for me. As a matter of fact I just increased the risk a little bit. I hope everyone is doing well and making tons of pips.
I agree with helitopia thrust is awesome for the money. You are looking for reliability but with mdp latency is an issue so his advice is very good. By being physically closer to your broker’s server you are able to reduce latency and help the profitability of this ea.

Could you re-post your myfxbook LIVE hotforex results ( i noticed it somehow stopped “drawing” at july~august ) . Or maybe you could write just abs. gain in % since you `ve started on Hotforex.
Also could you confirm that you are using default settings ?
especially i would like to know STOP orders = true ? cause hotforex currenex has Limit orders at 3 pips. I think MDP won`t work whats >2 pips . or am i wrong?

I have also changed MT4 setting ‘Deviation by default’ to 10 (accessed from MT4 Tools–>Options–>Trade (tab)) - I saw this in a previous post that indicated it might help. My average execution time is 1139ms, open time is 2250ms and modify time of 925ms.
I know I am on version 1.16 and 1.2 has just been released BUT I wanted to see some results before change EA version.

I saw your results for Go Markets - would you be prepared to share VPS and MDP settings?
If its true ( i dunno really ) that MDP requires limit orders to be at no more than 2 pips ( hotforex has 3 pips - thats 4 sure) , than you should disable auto ECN detection, set STOP orders to disable also; and most of all - disable FIFO .

As suggested I have disable auto ecn detections, stop orders and FIFO, however, does stop order disablement also mean disabling hard stop trailing?
I have seen a suggestion that the windows ‘hosts’ file be changed to include the broker IP - has anyone tried this?
Has anyone seen the following warning on the MDP chart?
‘Too may attempts rejected by Broker’
I am using a UK based VPS and Hotforex and I am seeing the above warning in diagnostics. In the MT4 ‘Experts’ tab, it shows attempts made to open trades but rejected by the broker. It is trying to open trades with SL and TP specified.

I am using a CNS VPS. MDP is not making any trades for me though. Is there a fix for this other than changing the broker and/or VPS?
