So I decided to diversify my Forex trading, I have a couple of EA’s already running on my Alpari UK account as well as manually trade, and had heard alot about MillionDollarPips. I decided to give it a try, ordered through MillionDollarPips.com…downloaded and installed. After trying for hours by following the extremely vague manual to activate the EA I contacted the support by e-mail only to be told the ‘validation system’ was down, which was not mentioned at any stage through the ordering process, shortly after I received an e-mail stating the validation system had come back up, only to recieve another alert in MT4 stating I was an invalid user, so once again tried contacting support…no reply. Eventually enough was enough so I’m in the process of claiming back the money spent.
Valuable lesson learnt = Don’t get drawn into crap with a fancy webpage
in fact, it was the first time they had the license system down, I also had an issue with my license, I have sent them an email and after some time it was working fine. I guess you bought it on the wrong timing, they were probably trying to fix the issue, this dosen’t make them a Scam at all, please avoid this kind of posts, we can talk about the MDP performance that is another issue but saying they are a Scam just because they had an issue with the license system?
Can only talk from experience, I know various people have reported good results. But not at any stage during the payment process or afterwards was I informed they were experiencing problems, the manual was very vague on how to activate it, as a new customer I expected more support from MDP and not to be told the problem had been rectified which it actually hadn’t
Few EA vendors, once they have your money, feel any obligation to communicate…, nor do they feel they have any obligation to ensure profitable performance.
The validation system was down for a while on sunday/monday so you could not restart the robot but if you already had it running it was still working. Ive been using MDP since april and its the first time I have had any problems with validation. You were just unlucky man that you bought it while there was a problem.
To be fair the email support can be a little slow but you should give it the 30 days to test it at least now you paid for it. May not be the best 30 days though coming up.
with EA accounts try to stop yours right now and start it on Jan. 1st of the new year let it run for 2 months and $$$$ …But obviously it depends if the robot works fine but most robots work perfectly on the 1st 3-4 months of the year basically until August :31:
I don’t think MDP is a scam at all and in fact when I have had problems in the past William was very helpful in resolving issues. For me it was a no trade issue but we went back and forth until it got resolved.
Having said that I am not particularly impressed with my results but than again I never bothered to try and tweak stuff to get better results other than some settings.
I read some reviews on forex peace army and there are some complaints. in the short run, many people reported huge gains, but then they slowly started losing money later on. some were lucky enough to withdraw before the EA managed to lose them more money.
Some traders mastered the ability to get out of all positions before a system implodes thus allowing them to make huge returns with limited risk. All in all I believe it’s all about timing when it comes to trading…
Hi, I’ve just bought this EA and checked out this thread from last ? July. I owuld value your comments on it for I too am experiencing problems with getting support and am unable to validate, ie I get a message saying “Invalide validatioon parameters”.
Have you any support data you could forward to me, especially about the meaning of the inputs and recomended values to start with. What have been your experiences since you posted to this thread last year, with support and had the EA been successful?
I did manage to get the EA working after afew days, apparently at the time they we’re having problems with their validation server. I think they may be US based so there working hours are different to ours, you may have to wait till after lunch to get a reply. I did think it unprofessional that they didn’t put a message on their page or at least block purchases when their validation server was down (the product is pretty much useless without validation)
From my experience the EA didn’t trade as often as expected (maybe once or twice per week), I first tried the EA on my own machine, but as the EA doesn’t work to well with high latency/poor UK broadband I even sourced a VPS which was in the same data centre to which my broker used, and IMO wasn’t much better.
I have used afew EA’s including MillionDollarPips, FAPTurbo, MegaDroid and they all seem to be the same - they will make you profit for a period of time, then in afew loosing trades will blow all that profit, but thats just my experience.
To answer your question I don’t really have any remainig documentation or settings to give as I am now learning to manually trade which is much more satisfying and profitable. But if you read through the manual provided and adjust the settings specific to money management (ie. lot sizes, amount of trades at any time etc) they should be the only ones you need to change.
I don’t think it’s a scam, I’ve seen people report good earnings with it.
"I can only comment from experience, which to be fair wasn’t great at the time, and I can honestly say I’ve never been consistently profitable from any commercial EA, and that’s why I choose to manually trade"
That’s true though.
I can only comment from experience, which to be fair wasn’t great at the time, and I can honestly say I’ve never been consistently profitable from any commercial EA, and that’s why I choose to manually trade
