Hey BP, you should check out Tapatalk – its a mobile app for iPhone, Android (and others) that allows native access to your forum. It’s free for forum operators but $2.99 for users that download the app. I’m testing it now and really like it. Super easy to install.

Thanks for the comments. We’ve looked at that product/service in the past. It’s a great idea. But we like “free for all!” I don’t think they offer that version. Ha. But we’re looking into offering a feature where you can change the color theme of the forum, on-demand. A mobile theme would also be included for those die hard users or for when you’re in the bathroom and you just need some mobile forex education! Stay tuned.

Thanks for the question. At the moment, we do not have a native iPhone app. We have however identified a suitable solution to get only our Forums to the iPhone, Itouch iPad and Android OS devices. We’re also working on a mobile theme that other devices can use while browsing our Forums. Time lines for the the native app and mobile theme are realistically 4-6 weeks out, given our existing work load.
Having a mobile-optimized version of the rest of the website has been discussed, but we don’t have any immediate plans to start development on that.

I was able to search for babypips in the new Tapatalk (ver 4, I guess), but it gave comments like the API needs to be updated, or such…Not sure of the exact wording. I could not get the message to show up again.
Having babypips forum in Tapatalk would be great!

We’ve been offering mobile access to our Forums using iOS and Android devices for some time now. We didn’t go with Tapatalk, as users have to pay for the app. We went with a product called Forum Runner, that does virtually the same thing. You get mobile access to the Forums through a native iOS or Android app, and you get a good amount of the basic features you have when using the Forums from a standard browser - thread/post creation and replies, subscriptions, search, favorites, access to private messages, and Who’s Online (the iOS app has a richer feature set than the Android app).

I checked Forum Runner, unfortunately it’s also paid (at 2.61sgd). I already bought Tapatalk, and been using it for my other forums.
The reason I like Tapatalk is that its UI follows android design guidelines (unlike the Forum Runner, which still has traces of iOS UI) and is optimized to perform well on android.
Will there be no chances of babypips supporting Tapatalk in the future?

Our app is basically a clone of the Forum Runner app. If you search for BabyPips Forex Forum, you’ll find our app, which is free. We have no plans to use Tapatalk.

Just saying… Tapatalk is free for android… Just downloaded it 5 mins back.
Dumped iPhone 2 years back so I don’t really know about iOS.
Right now i’m using The babypips app, which is good too but has bugs…
For example, it requires me to login every time I open the app.
And says “login incorrect” the first time I open the app… Then I have to restart and type my Id and PW again…

Also a feature to zoom-in on the attachments would be helpful… I have tried double tap and pinch… Nothing works.
I’m including a screen shot from my phone… The charts are kinda unreadable.

I agree. Accessing this site through the Forum Runner app is very buggy. The login issue annoys me the most, but the navigation still could improved greatly. I really hope BabyPips will make the switch over to Tapatalk.
I was just showing a new guy at work the site as he expressed an interest in trading, and he asked about a android app which I showed to him on here. But does the app include access to the school of pipsology, or is it just the forums?

We’re actively looking for a replacement of what we’re currently using, to something more robust, stable and actively supported. Tapatalk is such an alternative, and we’re looking at it and a couple other solutions. Thanks for your patience!
