Mt4 and mt5

hi, i am far from building my own automated system, although i want to start to learn how to build my own, so i am looking forward to learning the language of metatrader right now, but with mt5 on its way is there any point learning mt4???

what do the guys and girls who know the ins and outs of metatrader think?

If you knew with 99% certainty that your broker would be using MT5 in the next 6 months, then you should focus on MT5. As this is highly unlikely, you should learn MT4. It will be around for many years to come and when the time comes when you must upgrade to MT5, most of what you learned is transferrable.
