MT4 Buy script

Hi all…

What am I doing wrong here? I’m trying to use the standard “trade” script that comes with MT4 in order to test something else for later. This script just BUYS 1 lot of whatever chart you execute it on, apparently.

However, no matter what I do (double click it, r/click then execute or drag onto the chart) it never works. I never get 1 lot bought, and nothing appears in my trades box. The pop up message asking if I’m sure I want to buy does appear though, so it’s half working at least!

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated

The answer wasn’t in the help section, but was in another forum

I needed to check an option in the MT4 EA sub options panel - doing that allowed scripts to run.

Now I just need to figure out how to get multiple orders to open simultaneously.

I managed to collar a codey friend, who is working on this problem as we speak.

If anyone is interested in a script to open multiple orders, I’ll post whatever he comes up with here once he’s done.
