MT4 How to see your loss exposure on open positions?

Hi Everyone,
In MT4, if you hover over your stoploss line, you can see a box with the amount you will lose if your stop is hit.
I want to know what the maximum I can lose at any one time is, if all my open positions get stopped out.
I could hover over all my stops and make a note of the numbers, but that seem very laborious.
Is there anyway for MT4 to do this automatically?

Thanks for any answers.

172 views, no replies. I’m disappointed.

Do you keep a journal? That would tell you exactly how exposed you are before you even open a single position.

“…that seems very laborious”…What do you think trading is? Sit @ your desk and count the money coming in? It’s work- just like any other profession. Treat like anything other than business, and you’re more than likely to fail.

Never open a trade without knowing what your maximum loss could be.
Never open a trade without knowing what your projected profit target is.
Basic beginner stuff. Are you trading live or, hopefully, just on a demo?

Thanks for your responses. I’ll keep looking for the answer to my question.

I don’t know about this. But do not trade with any broker without knowing about them clearly.

Just to update anyone who might be interested. I’ve made a custom indicator in MT4 that solves the problem in my initial post, That is, tells you how much you will lose if all your stops get hit and also what your protected equity is.
I can’t find a way to upload an MQ4 file on babypips. If anyone wants this indicator, just ask.
@ FOREXunlimited - Isn’t the the point of computers to do all the number crunching for you?
@ eddieb - I’m currently demoing, thanks for the condescension.

I’d be interested in seeing that indicator bob. you can email it to me at my username at G mail. thank you!
