MT4 = Iphone

Has anyone else seen this?

I hope this gets finalized soon. Any thoughts?

Finally… I’ll be all over this when it comes out.

me too! do you currently use the forex on the go app?

Wow, that’s really cool! Wish I wasn’t so anti-Apple lol. I’m not up on all these new gadgets, I wonder if they’ll have this available for other phones?

I use mobile oanda already with an LG VU, its awesome for when i have to go to work or leave the house and I’m not ready to close an open trade. No charts though… but i usually use quote.com mobile charts even though it is delayed ~15 minutes, not too hard to extrapolate with current quotes on the mobile oanda platform.

Forex On The Go is offering their MT4 trading service now. Their website isn’t updated yet, but they have a new version of their app on the app store and it let’s you trade MT4 on it. I’ve been using it for the past week or so and I really like it – it is very handy and lets me actually leave the house without worrying about my trades. It has a real live tick chart with a buy/sell window just like MT4 – it actually updates in real time (at least every second) which is really cool on a phone.

It’s $20 a month, which I thought was a bit high, but they claim that soon you will be able to use it free if you sign up with their “partner broker”. Of course, I made $250 bucks off the GBP/USD while stuck in traffic yesterday so in that case I’m happy to pay the monthly fee.

Has anybody else tried this thing out yet?

If this works out and is successful, I will gladly switch back to the iPhone.

It really actually works very well. It’s not perfect, they don’t have indicators yet (although they sent me an email and said indicators were on the top of the to-do list), but all and all, it works great and having the ability to get in and out of trades on my iPhone just lets me relax. I usually am glued to my computer screen all day if I have a trade running, now it’s no problem – if I need to run out, I can keep an eye on things right on my iPhone.

The interface is really simple and straightforward, everything is nice and smooth like all most of the apps on the iPhone are. It actually seems a lot sleeker than regular MT4. Ahh how I love my iPhone.

hi,

my broker told me to stay away from forex on the go. i use them as a charting tool on my iphone, but when i asked Activtrades (which by the way is a brilliant broker) the rep told me to stay away with my account from FOTG.

this is because what they write in the contract!

they want special rights have regarding the user account. anybody who is interested should read the contract very carefully.

Activtrades, which is one of the biggest brokers out there says clearly no o them.

the rep told me, i should wait until MT5 this year (around spring time), because an MT5 app for the iphone is also on the way. right now i carry around 2 devices, my iphone and a retarded HTC DIAMOND for the mobile MT4, which by the way is 124 times better than the FOTG.

cheers.

Can you put ea(s) on then to to trade?
Thanks
Randy

Sorry to bring this back up, but how can you instal mt4 or mt5 on a Iphone?

get jaadu desktop and a vps. It will allow tyou to run any instance of mt4 or mt5 as wewll as ea’s or scripts and be able to view and operate them from your iphone. I have had jaadu desktop for a couple of months and I don’t know how I lived without it!

where do you find the jaadu desktop?

I use an iphone with a vps server and itap rdp (google it) on my phone which enables me to ‘see’ my desktop. The vps runs the mt4 with ea’s etc, the itap lets you access the vps with your phone. very cool

But how can you see your whole desktop on the iphone? The screen is so small.

Oh it is ver small! You only see a quadrant of your desktop screen at a time, but can scroll around. I use it as an emergency backup mainly. That way if I have an ea running it will be continuous on the vps. Then if i get an alert or such I can check the trend lines, fibs, etc that i had previously drawn on my charts. If I have a reason to enter or exit with an ea I can do that too. Definitely NOT my main trading screen!

Maybe a tablet would be better?

On second thoughts, perhaps not. Might as well get a laptop.
