MT4 Leverage

Evening all, can anyone point me in the direction of how I can find my leverage level on MT4 (I’m with DF Markets if that of any use.

Any help appreciated.

Ta.

When you right click on the chart to open up a new order, the order window will pop up. On this window you can set your leverage at the volume box. e.g. 1.00, 0.10 or 0.01 (See attached pic).

If you are new to the MT4 platform, I would suggest that you go through a tutorial or 2 of the platform to get familiar with it. I know that brokers such as IBFX, FXCM, Markets.com, etc. provide free videos to train their clients with the MT4 platform. I think it is important to know atleast the basics of the platform before actualy trading.

Good luck!

Hi, Lot size is not the same as leverage.

I dont know how DF Markets does it, but with Oanda, I need to access my account info at Oandas web page.

Leverage is all about how many units you can buy(Lot size), according to account size

So if you have 100:1 leverage, and have a 1000$ in your account, you can buy up to 100 000 units, dvs 1 Lot.

Yeah, I know what leverage is it’s just I want to know if I’ve set it too high. The lower the better and as I’m just starting out I don’t want to get into any bad habits. Will try my broker for more info. Did see somewhere on the net there was a script you could run through MQLE but can’t find it.

Thanks for the replies though
