MT4 ma crossover signal?

G’day all,

Can anyone tell me how I get MT4 to give me a signal when one ma crosses another?
I believe it’s possible to get the candle to change colour?

There is no way in the delivered MT4 platform to receive such a signal. There are plenty of MA crossover indicators that have been written and offered on the internet. I like the one I have written for prices approaching an MA.

Are you a coder? Then the answer is at mql4.com.

But if not, MQL is not a good language to learn. There are better resources for other common languages like C and Java.

I’ve downloaded a custom indicator that suits my needs for the time being.
I’ve done a little C programming before and looking at the code I think I’ll be able to pick up MQL if I need to.

For the time being my trading system is very simple so I’ll manage with what I’ve got.

MQL4 is very much like C. If in doubt about the documentation, just try to do it the same as in C and it will probably work.
