I’m thinking of buying a sub notebook, something around Acer Aspire One, Asus EEE 701 or 901 or HP 2133. The thing is these mini laptops have at most 8,9" LCD displays so I don’t know how would Metatrader software look on that.
I ask anyone who has one of these or any other mini laptop running a MT4 to take a screenshot directory from it and paste it here because I couldn’t find any picture of MT4 on the internet and I can’t try that our without buying a laptop first.
I would be very thankful.
I am also considering purchasing an iPaq to run a Mobile MT4 so I am again asking for screenshots if anyone has this at home.
Forex is best traded on a large screen. I’ve got the Acer Aspire laptop as well, and the only thing I use it for is surfing the web and checking mails.
I have Metatrader Mobile on my Samsung Omnia. Works great. Larger screen so everything’ easy to see and access. While away from my desk, I do the majority of my trading from my phone.
I myself was looking to get a Acer Aspire One to run MT4. But got to checking the min. screen resolution required to install MT4 is 1024x768. The max. screen resolution on the Acer Aspire is 1024x600. So my guess it will not even install on the Acer Aspire One.
I purchased the Acer Aspire Onetoday with 160 gb HHD at Office Depot. Got Metatrader to load NO problems at all. At at 2.5 lbs it is a lot better than my huge older laptop. I just like the portability of this size of laptop.
do you have a VPS? because i have one and you have a phone that’s remote desktop capable. i can even look at my EA and change settings from my phone! i have the new samsung SAGA (i770)
I did have a VPS and I was able to access it from my phone. It was pretty wild. I don’t need an EA, so it wasn’t really a need to keep the VPS. I wanted it pretty much to ensure my trades stay intact.
I do have Metatrader Mobile and trade exclusively on my phone.
I may not have pansy quotes on the bottom of my messages but i can say that I used an asus eee computer to trade forex and made just as much with that. you will use it more being able to carry it anywhere. you may say your laptop is portable but how many people enjoy carrying them around.
i tried that too, but for me i found it to be quite bulky and hard to do.
if only i could find a way to trade with a smart phone or pda or something… so far havent found a software that runs well, both for charting and for trading
i also have their platform in my htc touch viva and it is working fine  but i do not like the phone trading idea it is just a temporary to watch the market
