I’ve noticed that when I try optimizing my EA, MT4 will not show results for some of the backtests. It just skips a lot of steps for variables I’m trying to optimize.
How can I fix this?
The reason may be a brokerage company. This is what provides access to the trading terminal and, accordingly, may limit the access to some data and services. So it is better to communicate with the manager of the company on this issue.
Look at the settings, you may not have enabled some services.

MT4 by default does not display results with a negative drawdown. You have to go into settings and change it to see those “Skipped” results.

Um, actually, I have never noticed such things in mt4. It always shows the full set of data I need to work with. This may be because we use different approaches, though. There are a lot of videos on YouTube on how to properly configure this platform. You should try it.
May have to do with the “skip useless results” setting, assuming those passes were not profitable.
