Hopefully this is just a simple fix but I’ll be damned if I can find it in the menus so hopefully someone can help me:
I am using MT4 & the times along the bottom of my charts are the NY times, however I am in the UK. Although it’s not a massive issue, is there a way of changing this?
I’ve also figured out how to change the colours of trend-lines, candle sticks, MA etc. but my fib-lines are always a yellow colour which to be honest, doesn’t appear the best on my charts. Is there a way of changing this as well? I’ve stuck with what I know & set it up to be like PipSchool with white background, black surround to the candles & green/red fills but even with this colour scheme, fibs doesn’t show up too great
Yeah both of these queries are minor things, but I’m just trying to steamline MT4 in to something that I’m more comfortable with. Apologies if these queries are stupid & thanks in advance to any & all who are able to help.
That’s set by your broker I believe and can’t be changed. Mine’s set to CET and it’s never been an issue for me. Whatever it’s set at, you soon get used to it so you’re able to spot whatever time you want to refer to (NY open or whatever) pretty easily.
That one’s easier :-). Just pull down a fib and double-click on the dotted red line that connects the 0 and 100 lines. Three dots appear on it, at the top, bottom and in the centre. Right click on one of those dots and you get a menu… select Fibo Porperties and a box appears. You’ll see ‘Style’ at the bottom where you can reset the colour and line thickness.
Thanks Dave! Until you pointed it out, I hadn’t even noticed the dotted line connecting the high & low. I trawled through the menus, repeatedly tried clicking the actual Fib% lines & all sorts - it was really annoying me not being able to change it but BOOM: all sorted now
Thanks for swooping in with your red cape Dave & yeah, I’ll just have to get used to the NY times.
