MT5 missing EURJPY Charts

I’m using MT5 for 8 hour charts at I can’t add EURJPY charts. I’ve tried going to Marketwatch and using right-click “Show all” and it shows a big list but not EURJPY. Has anyone run into this problem? (probably not because everyone is on MT4 ;)) My MT5 Demo broker is FXCM.

Hi Psych0F0x,

There seems to be some confusion here, because FXCM doesn’t offer a demo for the MT5 platform. I’m curious though: Is there a particular feature of MT5 you like that you could not find in the platforms FXCM currently offers?

Jason

That’s funny, because when you start MT5 for the first time it offers to find servers to practice on and FXCM is the only server it finds. You can sign up through MT5 so that probably avoids the “official” channel that you would usually sign up through. I noticed that there’s not an official FXCM page where you can sign up for the MT5 server.

Things I like about MT5 over MT4 is easy 8 hour charts without having to deal with the period converter script. Also the cool trade tracking thing where you see an arrow where you entered and exited the trade but I bet there’s a script for MT4 that does that.

That’s odd. Do you still have the link for the site where you downloaded MT5? As I mentioned previously, FXCM doesn’t offer a demo for that platform.

As you suspected, there are free MT4 scripts available just as you described on FXCMapps.com. If you prefer not to use custom scripts, you might be interested to know that Trading Station Desktop has custom time frames and the ability to track trades with arrows already built into the platform as default functionality.

I have the same issue. Not only eurjpy, but more. Gbpjpy, etc. When i asked fxcm support, they said they dont have demo. Strange

Hi Javazz,

Welcome to BabyPips

Our support staff was right in telling you that FXCM doesn’t have an MT5 demo. Can you give me a link to the site that told you otherwise?

As I mentioned to Psych0F0x, here’s a list of the trading platforms FXCM offers. Is there a particular feature of the MT5 platform that you are after?

Thanks,
Jason

I confirm, i have a FXCM demo MT5 account too. I don’t recall how i got it, but if you google it, you should find a post on the dailyfx where an administrator is giving a link to fxcm MT5. And that dates back to 2010.

And yeah my version also is missing couple of pairs.

We did offer an MT5 demo several years ago as you said, but that was discontinued awhile back due to lack of interest. The reason you can’t access all the currency pairs FXCM now offers is because we stopped updating those old demos when our MT5 offering was discontinued.
