I would like to be able to open positions larger than the maximum, so i need to be able to simultaneously open and close multiple positions using metatrader.
Is there some way this can be done?

Wouldn’t that be a function of the broker? FXDD has 4 trading platforms, maybe one of them is what you need. And I am sure other brokers can accomodate your trading needs.

who is your broker, and are you talking about a limit of a single lot size, or you have some limitations in total number of lots on one instrument ?
in a first case it’s a simple problem which might be solved with a script which sends a few separate orders at the same time (it would take 10 minutes to write something like that)
in a second case - the problem is a little bit complex - you need to have a few accounts (no matter if with one broker or more), use a MultiTerminal, and with a single script you can open a certain number of lots with each of them at the same time.
The same situation is with closing - this also might be done with a script or better EA which would control all open positions, closing them, reopening, changing SL, etc… but it’s a little bit more work…

Do a search for MT4 plugin close all trades many out there that will close all pending or close all open etc…They are free!!
