I’ve made a copy of my trade journal, for those of you who don’t have one and dont know where to start.
there’s two versions, one for excel 97-2003 users and the other is for excel 2007 users. i made it using excel 2007 so the 97-2003 version might look a bit funny, some of the conditional formatting doesnt work but there should be no loss in functionality.

when you open the spreadsheet, input the prices for GBP/USD and EUR/USD at the top on the ORDER BOOK worksheet.
any coloured column is where you input data (except the units column and stop loss pips column*)
There are two ways of calculating your SL, either you can enter a price in the SL column, hence your stop loss will be shown in the SL pips column or you can enter a value in the SL pips column only.
