It appears that the Alpari Data Download Site is closed. I have download data called “EURUSD_1 minute_interval.zip”. I can’t remember where i got it but inside the zip is an *.hst file plus 1.5 million records. I have followed instructions from a few web sites and Input this data into my history center,
However when I look at File/Open Offline I only see the small demo data files that came with the Alpari version of MetaTrader 4. Whe I look at C:/Program Files/MetaTrade/history/downloads in Windows Explorer…I see nothing.
Is this bad data or am I doing something wrong? Is their any other source of data available?
I have good news - you don’t actually need to download any data files.
Many brokers (including Alpari) let you download historical data of the 1-minute interval from 1999
From the Tools menu choose History center then click the pair you need and hit the “download” button. Depending on your specific broker, data from recent years (the best ones have from 1999) will be downloaded to your metatrader.
