Need to get a phone

Hello,

I need to get a phone so that I can trade while im not home. I currently use Oanda and Tadawulfx. I would like to be able to access my home computer through my phone using “logmein” - so im assuming its best to have 4G.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a smartphone and a specific provider that would enable me to place trades on Oanda and Tadawulfx and also have highspeed internet so I can access my home computer.

Thank you very much for you input.

I have Oanda on my iPhone.

Works great.

My provider is AT&T.

I have Oanda on my Samsung Galaxy S android and it works like a charm.

I draw lines in the sand, it makes fortunes.

I just saw on TDFX website that only windows mobile phones will work…

TDFX MT4 Mobile Trading platform for online forex trading

that kinda narrows it down alot… does anyone know what phone would meet those requirements and also cater oandas needs?

thank you

Hey which Samsung Galaxy S do you have? Have you tried using remote desktop (accessing your home computer through your phone?)

Im looking into getting the “Samsung Fascinate™ a Galaxy S™ phone” so i can remotely access my computer and look at charts and placed trades on Oanda and Tadawulfx

Let me know your thought please

Tadawul? argh. Their spreads are OUTRAGEOUS! Especially on exotics. Why are u sticking with them?

They are regulated, licensed (safe for clients), non-US broker, great manager platform.

I only trade main pairs so a fixed spread of 2 pips on E/U compared to Oandas .9 pip spread really wont make the biggest difference in the world since im not scalping and take on average 50+ pips.

Just my opinion

Well, I’m in Sweden so the models may not be named exactly the same as where you’re at.

The phone says: GT-I9000 if that’s of any help.

Haven’t tried the remote apps though I’ve seen them on Android market. Reasons: I don’t keep my home computer running while I’m out of the house and besides, I trade with Oanda and not with a metatrader broker. Oh, and I’m actually able to watch charts on my work computer, and even run oanda fxtrade of late.

It does seem like a viable solution though, especially if you’re able to connect through wifi with your phone.

I have Oanda on my iPhone as well, and I love it!

It’s nice to be able to reference price when not at home, and also to get the push alerts when your take profit was hit:)

I think im gonna go with Verizon - so if anyone uses a Verizon phone to trade - please let me know

i have on both my iphone and droid. both works great.

Verizon is getting the iphone on the 10th of feb. Thats what im gonna get. otherwise i hear the blackberry 9650 is good too

I have a vibrant and I use MT4 remote although you do have to keep your computer running when not at home.

I was always under the impression that Oanda has an android app that executes orders directly.
