Hi everyone!
Hope that title grabbed your attention.
Just a little something to say hi, my name is Aidan, and I’m real eager to learn.
I’m currently a CAD Designer apprentice, but wanting a positive change of lifestyle and an income that I can rely on myself. Willing to put time and patience in but with training with my full-time job and expecting a son on the way it is hard to find time, any advice?
TIA
I’m not sure if this is a rhetorical question, but I want it pretty bad. Just trying to balance my time and finances is difficult.
At the moment I’m an apprentice at my job, so not on a great wage and expecting a child is going to make it difficult.
Basically, in short, I’m wondering if its possible in my situation, I would quite like to see if anybody has been in a similar situation and how long it took them to get into and start making good money and how the went about it.
Best piece of advice I can give you, IMO— stop comparing yourself to others. The path to profitability is differently (literally) for everyone. Think about ALL the variables that play into the equation…
Only compare yourself to the you of yesterday. Be 1% better, and good things will happen over time. And, never quit. Seriously, ever.

That’s great! Thank you mate, even if it takes 20 minutes a day for the next 5 years to start getting into things, I’ll get there eventually.
