This new chat room is really not as nice as the old one. I definitely preferred the old one.
Reasons:
Everyone’s text looks the same / no font changes (has a huge wall of text look and is hard to keep up)
No avatars (same as above)
Huge bubble on top that’s really ugly about add on java chat
You cant make new or private rooms
You get kicked if you are inactive. (if i am off trading or managing something i come back and I am D/C’d)
I don’t mean to be rude in anyway. But I hope that the chat room will improve thanks.
Thanks for the constructive criticism. I was a bit confused when I first read your post, because many of the reasons you listed shouldn’t be reasons at all. We haven’t made any changes to the chat room. So, I took another look and it appears like we dropped the ball and let our chat room software license lapse. The forums reverted themselves back to limited feature set. We’ve resolved that problem, and things are back to normal.
Private/New rooms are working as well. As for the Java bubble, that’s a requirement of the chat software unfortunately, and a prompt by your browser - not completely our doing but necessary. You’ll need to upgrade your browser’s version of Java to the latest release to enjoy all of the chat room’s features.
