Just starting my journey with forex and with babypips. I’ll be searching the threads for as much information as I can before taking what I have learned to a live account.

Feel free to share the one thing (or thread) that has helped you the most. Otherwise, I look forward to getting to know some of you through other threads!

Hello Irvinfitness,

Welcome to the world of forex. Hope you have completed Babypips school. I don’t know about your trading style and I like to learn and trade price action. I am following only a few threads at the moment. If you would like to know about price action hope this thread will help you.

Good luck mate

The one thing that helped me the most was to study the market movements by myself. Pull out a chart, a pen and a piece of paper and start take notes of what’s happening in the market. It will be a long process. Hope it helps.

Just avoid those created or ruled by perfect traders, those claiming having no loses or those who think using stop loss is just stupid. Avoid That.

The most important thing you can realize is that not all information is going to be relevant to your trading style. When I first started off; I was under the impression that learning as much as I could about everything would be the best approach. It’s not. There are thousands of ways to trade with hundreds of indicators and strategies. When you’re ready- find an established strategy and master all the supporting processes, indicators, and things that are relevant to that strategy being successful. You can waste tons of time on crap that you will never use and that will never be important to the way YOU trade.

Thanks for all of the great advice!

stonecoldmichael, I’m really glad you mentioned that because I think I was headed towards a long drawn out process of trying to learn everything.
