New to the game

I’ve invested in the stock and bond markets for 10 years, I use mostly fundamentals when selecting securities. Upon research of the forex game it seems to me that you trade currencies on an hour to weekly basis. This is all new to me and I’m looking for some like minded individuals to help me out. Looking forward to your feedback.

Greetings kjmartyn…just wanted to quickly welcome you to the forums and let you know currencies is a great way to play fundamental biases. In terms of the fundamental framework, it currently all comes down to the present and future outlook of a country’s monetary policy. This is decided upon by central banks, which look at a couple of key economic indicators: inflation and GDP growth/employment. Every central bank is different, but those are the general drivers of currencies. Depending on how you’re leveraged, currencies can be pretty volatile, but if you’re able to weather the storms, some strong trends can arise. Hope this helps bud. Good luck!
