New year, new trading device?

Hellooooo! :blush: I’ve been talking to my husband about a new laptop that I can use for trading and for the other work I do. :open_mouth: We’ve already decided to get it, saying that it’s a new year so we should also welcome it with a new device (and hopefully, new and better trading results! :sweat_smile: Tbh, that laptop was really hard to work with already, with the keyboard busted and screws of the hinges already falling off. :confused:

How about you guys? When was the last time you upgraded your trading devices and do you have any plans to do so? :blush: Maybe a gift for yourselves for another trading year? :smiley:

I’m still using my 4-year-old laptop, and it’s still working well! It handles my charts and trades without any issues, so I haven’t felt the need to upgrade yet.

I was just about to reply that I have no plans to upgrade my laptop, then I got the blue screen of death :joy:. So maybe it’s time but it works good and I really like it for trading and coding.

I am Sufshiken. We both joined Babypips during the last quarter of year 2017. I left the community in July 2020.

Remember, I, you, maax, tradeviper (we all) communicated on various threads.

I recently rejoin Babypips. I am satisfied with the performance of my laptop, so no plan to purchase a new device for new year.

I’m not planning to upgrade my current system but I think I may add an extra screen, would help me multi-task and I would look cool too :sweat_smile:

I bought it last year. My old laptop was sounded like a jet taking off every time I worked on it!

Haha, adding an extra screen is a great move. Not just for multitasking, but yeah, it does make you look like a pro trader too. Go for it! :smile:

Congrats on the new laptop! :tada: I upgraded my trading setup last year with a dual-monitor setup for better analysis. No immediate plans to upgrade, but a standing desk might be a great addition for 2024—comfort and focus go hand in hand! :blush:

I upgraded my laptop last year because the previous one could not keep up with multiple platforms. No plans for an upgrade now, although I am planning to purchase an extra screen!

nothing fancy here ,just an old ass ryzen 5600g pc ,checking trades every 1030pm(GMT+8) ,harvest winners ,sow some more,check the balances and go to bed.

That sounds like a great idea! A new laptop could definitely improve your trading experience and make work more enjoyable. As for me, I don’t use devices, but I think upgrading for a fresh start in the new year is a perfect plan!
