Hello everyone,
I am wondering how the stock market works in North America. I am an IT Support Analyst who is keen in using technology to maximize customer’s experience … I want to know how to buy the first share in forex market.

Ask questions. That’s healthy. But you must also do plenty of your own research before you think of trading anything.
The stock market is where you can buy shares in a publicly listed company. The owners of a company can list it on the stock market and the public can buy some shares in the company. They become part-owners of the company as a result and are entitled often to receive a dividend payment each year calculated as a percentage of the value of each share they own. They can also look forward to the value of the share itself rising, and they can choose then to sell it to another investor/trader.
The forex market is where big international banks buy and sell currency in order to help finance deals and purchases between different countries with different currencies. As private retail forex traders, we do not buy or sell currency, we speculate (bet) on the exchange rate between two currencies rising or falling. Some traders bet this will happen within minutes (daytraders or scalpers), others within days or weeks.
Yep, looks like person already making mistakes from the start, but it’s all fine since we all were newbies in some point and all of that is really and practically cool by many many reasons out there. I do hope it will work out with us. Stocks however for me is much more reliable.
