Newbie to the game

Hi

About 7yrs ago I was told about Bitcoin. I totally didn’t believe in it & im Spewing big time.
Anyway I’m here now trying to give it a shot & hopefully it works out for my retirement.

If hindsight could replace foresight, everyone would be successful. Trading crypto currencies, including Bitcoin is speculative and high risk, and the odds for newbies are you’ll lose money. Experience is key, so is discipline.

IMO, Instead of trading Bitcoin, you could invest at intervals instead and hold with the long term aim to see it grow. Best of luck.

BTW, over the last eighteen months starting at a low of $29k to a new high of $66k this month. There is no guarantee which way it will go in the future - hence the benefit of hindsight would be a time traveller’s utopia.

You could have done x, y and z but you didn’t so don’t live in the past and focus on the present. Starting at whatever point you do, is the most important thing.

Hi and welcome to Babypips forum.

And doubtless you were also told about Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Facebook and Tesla, but didn’t act on them either.

I have a strategy that I endearingly refer to as my “sh__coin” strategy. It goes like this. Take 10% of the total funds committed to crypto. Each 3 months choose 10 tokens that have a remote chance of doing a 10X, a 100X or a 1000X. Invest 1% of the crypto funds into each. Leave them alone for 4 years.

What is this strategy? It is like a lottery that keeps on giving. I only need one out of the ten to do a 10X and I have lost nothing. If one does a 100X, I have made 10,000% of 1% (or returned 100% on the entire crypto portfolio). If one does a 1000X, I have made 100,000% of 1% (or returned a 10X on the entire portfolio).

Why do I embrace this strategy? Because I can, and for the equivalent price of three cups of coffee per week, I think it is a close competitor to my wife’s love of buying lottery tickets every week.

Everyone needs a dream.

You need to be very careful when you make any decision in this market.

Hi,
Can you elaborate on “very careful” please (he said to him knowingly, nod nod, wink wink, say no more)
