The New Zealand economic calendar closed out the week on a strong note. Consumer spending, through the use of credit, rose 5.8 percent in the year through May - suggesting domestic demand is strong enough to overcome the RBNZ?s efforts to dampen inflation and the consumer penchant for spending.
