No prices for several minutes, which price should i get?

Good morning,

general question to misspricing-i mentioned it in another post but now i have more details:

i faced my broker with the fact, that i closed an order at a price which was never reached on March 22, 10:48 EUR/USD, and he said he can do nothing because thats the price my account gave the closing command when i closed. There is no official price, he said, i get any price my account sends at closing…(??)

But if i go back to price history in my account i saw, that for 8 minutes (10:40-10:49, March 22 EUR/USD) there is NO price visible, so after the 1M bar at 10:40 the next 1M bar is at 10:49, 8 bars missing, that was exact the time when the sytems stuck from time to time

-is this evidence enough to get a compensation?

Who is the broker?
What price does your trading history say you were closed at?

Hi @Kashmaster,

Is your broker regulated in the US?

Under NFA Compliance Rule 2-36, any US-regulated broker must provide you with transaction data upon request for the 15 forex transactions that occur immediately before and after in the same currency pair of your transaction.

If your broker is regulated in the US, then ask their customer service department to provide you with that information.

Thanks. I sent to the broker the same pics and wait for the answer why there are no prices between 10:40 and 10:49 but he charged one
I will see what his answer is

Good evening,

i got a message from the IT-Department of the Broker and they said that they are very sorry but there was really an interruption during this time period, so they charged me the price of their “back up server” (heard the first time, that there is a “back up server” for cases of general interruption problems…?) and thats the reason for the bad price.

But they also said, due to this problems they will cancel the order if i want, and my position is as it was before the order. This is realy positive, because after 5 minutes after the mail they really cancelled the loosing trade an put my account to the amount it was before i opened the trade.

So at least everything (in this matter) after some days of corespondence O.K., unfortunately they said, that they do not provide a telephon number for cancelling orders in future cases of interruption-but i think a contact telephone number for bridging times of interruption is “a must” for a reliable broker, isn`t it?

Good move from their side, but I would advice you to change the broker, because operating without telephone support is really stupid…
