Norway and taxes

My question is mainly for Norwegian forex traders.

How to file taxes and what category is forex trading in? I will move there in 2-3 years and I have no idea how could I do it.

I just assumed that Norwegians handed all their money straight to the government. And the government spend it. All of it.

The government themselves get a fax each morning from the EU in Brussels telling them what to do…

Norway have positioned themselves cleverly in the investment world.

Their national wealth fund posted a profit of $84bn for the 1st qtr of this year alone.

They are outside of the EU and the EU customs union but inside EFTA which has a long standing free trade agreement with the EU and other countries.

Norwegians rejected joining the EU twice in the past.

Norway is a member of Schengen so UK citizens may only stay visa-free for 90 days in a 180 day period.

Std tax rate is 22% - they have a 'progressive setup - more info here:
