nYC based pips

Hello. Are there any NYC based people here that can be my forex mentor?

Why do they need to be nyc based? What are you looking for in a mentor? Why should a mentor help you? How much experience do you have? Etc etc

Yes, those are important questions which should be answered. Especially why a mentor should take time to mentor the person.

Good question! Y should a mentor help me?
But, before I answer that, I want to start answering what is my experience.
I don’t have any experience with forex. It is a new world for me that I am trying to explore. It’s like learning a new language, culture, a new country perhaps a new world (Ok, that’s too much exaggeration on the last part).
And why, NYC based? I live in NYC and I would like an experience and trusted adviser that live in the same city as I do. I don’t know anyone physically that practice forex. Other person from other place is always welcome and i will always appreciate it.
So now, why mentor me? I really don’t know. I know that I am not knowledgeable with forex but I have a very good analytical skills, I am willing to learn, I am very good student, i am a good cook and I can walk your dog if you have one. : )
I just want to meet someone that does forex. That’s all.

It’s no need to be in NYC. Just find mentor and talk with him via skype.
This is how I do.
Good luck

Petefader is from New York, he teaches VSA, you can contact him in his thread, or Skype.

acindica, the thing is that there is no mentor who will agree to mentor you just like that because you want to learn. It would be wasting of time for him or her for no good reason. It is like you are asking someone to work for you but for free.
And do not restrict your self with a location. If you find someone no matter where he or she is from the quality of their mentoring will be the same.

what is VSA? Thanks

Always nice to see newcomers.
I would suggest you spend a few months studying at the free pipschool here, read the threads, run a demo account so you can see how the platforms and indicators work before even considering a mentor.
Why? Without knowing the basics you would struggle to find an honest mentor willing to take you on. They have better things to do with their time than to teach you about candlesticks, SL and TP, etc.
Learn as much here as you can, then see if you still want a mentor.
Good luck
