If everything else is as bad as their platform I don’t want to have anything to do with OANDA. Do they really offer lower spreads then other brokers, or is that just in their literature? I would rather pay more just to have a decent platform.
i was with saxobank for seveal years, im now with oanda, im a longer term trader, but i can tell you the spreads are always lower then saxobank.
They do increase them at news time, but i dont trade the news!
As for charts, i use metatrader the combination works pretty well for me.
N
Loveforex you are correct if Oanda built their reputation on their
platform they probably would not have gotten to where they are
today.
But yes they do have the some of the lowest spreads available,
they do not have a referral system, (so all the good things you read
about them are not fuelled by sycophantic clap trap) interest on
open positions are calculated to the second, plus you receive
interest on your account balance.
As n_aftab has quoted
As for charts, i use metatrader
same here, if you want bells, whistles & flashing indicators to help
you lose money then do not go with Oanda. Personally I have now
spent long enough time trading to understand that all that glitters
ain’t gold & reputation ain’t built on a flashy platform.
And 2-3 months ago they got a $100million investment from 5 groups, Citigroup or Chase and Bain Investment among others, so there must be something good about them. I have demo traded with them for nearly a year and have opened a live acct too - they have the necessities that a trader needs. d
