I am a young trader, who uses a robot to trade. My account is small, around $5,000 and the trades I make are around .01 and profit approximately $1.5 per trade. My leverage is 10:1. Will oanda take most of my profit because on their website is says “Funds can be withdrawn up to the value of the balance of your OANDA account, minus the amount of margin used.” I have never withdrawn before so I am not sure what happens. If you have experience with withdrawing from Oanda, please share
I use Oanda. Haven’t withdrawn yet.
Based on your quote of them, you would be allowed to withdraw any balance that isn’t set aside for margin.
In other words, IF you have open positions, they set money aside(margin) to cover those positions and you
wouldn’t be allowed to withdraw that money.
The summary page shows pretty well how much of your balance is set aside for margin, based on open positions.
