OctaFX volunteers support Bali Sports Foundation and 3rd International Bali Para Games

It’s been almost half a year since OctaFX supports Bali Sports Foundation across three programmes: Wheelchair Rugby, Wheelchair Basketball and Disabled Sailing.
From July 22, BSF conducted 3rd International Para games, athletes from South-Eastern Asia and Australia competing in various sports: Wheelchair Rugby, Boccia, Eskrima, Powerlifting and Wheelchair Basketball.

With a help of OctaFX, BSF established Bali Wheelchair Rugby Club Championship and trained best players to compete in Bali 4’s International Wheelchair Rugby Tournament, taking place July 22-26 as a part of Bali International ParaGames 2015.

OctaFX top-management volunteered to attend the tournament, assisting in organization and running of the event!

We pay a lot of attention to the problems of disabled people in Indonesia, and helping BSF was our aim coming here: we’ve been meeting people from Bali’s NGOs, talking to sportsmen with various conditions, supporting them throughout the competition. It’s been an unforgettable experience, as I am convinced – help can come from both financial and human side of our company”.
Joanna Archer

Helping running this event I realized what a great job BSF members of staff are doing. Sport has become an essential part of the lives of physically challenged people in Bali. Watching them playing wheelchair rugby with all the passion and dedication they have has become a great inspiration for all of us. I hope that our support will continue to bring more happiness to those in need”.
Olivia Claes

Rodney Holt, the founder of Bali Sports Foundation expressed a feeling of gratitude to OctaFX company for helping financially and being present at the event: “it’s very important for athletes to see the support, getting both new equipment and meeting new people. It builds an atmosphere of the competition, gives sportsmen confidence and makes them goal-oriented”.

OctaFX donates equipment to BSF Wheelchair Basketball programme!

OctaFX has been working with Bali Sports Foundation focusing on how to improve life of disabled sportsmen in Bali, Indonesia.

With our help, BSF can now afford to put in action more people willing to play wheelchair basketball: we’ve donated 10 brand new wheelchairs to BSF wheelchair basketball programme! It will also improve the quality of training sessions, as new equipment is much more advanced!

We are really happy to support the development of this programme, as it helps young people from all over Bali to socialise, practice and set new goals! We strongly believe that by being involved into sports young disabled people receive healthy and positive experience.

OctaFX team is proud to support BSF athletes as we know they are trying hard to overcome any difficulty they may have. Seeing positive results is our best reward!

“On behalf of Bali Sports Foundation, I would like to thank OctaFX for their kind support in sponsoring these new WB chairs, so now instead of our old heavy steel wheelchairs, we have light strong aluminum ones that now allow us to compete on equal footing with other countries in wheelchair basketball”

OctaFX helps disabled sail in Bali

At OctaFX we are happy to support sports education and foundations, that help make a difference to the lives of people with disabilities.

That’s why we, at OctaFX, are proud to call ourselves a socially responsible company that offers support to disabled people. One such foundation that we aid is the Bali Sports Foundation (BSF), that helps disabled sportsmen in Bali and East Indonesia partake in various sports. We support 3 sports, on behalf of the BSF:

[ul]

[li]Wheelchair Basketball
[/li][li] Wheelchair Rugby
[/li][li] Disabled Sailing
[/li][/ul]
Through our time and effort of volunteering for the BSF, we are very happy to announce the recent purchase and donation of a Hansa 303 para sail boat worth $10,000, for the BSF sailing programme. This sail boat will enable many disabled people, in the region, to develop skills that otherwise would be hard to attain.

The BSF helps improve the lives of many people living with disabilities in Bali and East Indonesia. The BSF focus on disabled, special needs and adaptive sports. The foundation runs many programmes for autistic, cerebral palsy, blind, deaf mute and amputee youths. Parasailing is just one of the many sports run by the BSF for disabled people.

The foundation endeavours to make sporting provisions for the disabled and bring together the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education along with national sports federations and the Paralympic committee, to provide opportunities for disabled sportsmen and women.

The parasailing boat is currently being used within the BSF and will be seen in action in the up and coming Bali International Disabled Sailing Regattas on September 8th – 12th September 2016.
