OctaFX shooting challenge for Southampton FC raised £3000!

OctaFX has activated its sponsorship shortly after signing the contract with Southampton FC - English Premiere League Football Club. Participation in OctaFX shooting challenge brought £3000 to the Saints Foundation.

Following-up the signing of new partnership with Southampton FC, OctaFX challenged three prominent Southampton players, namely: Jay Rodriguez, Kelvin Davis and Sam Gallagher to show their goal-scoring skills. All the funds raised are transferred to Saints Foundation, a charitable organization aligned to SHFC.

OctaFX supports The Rip Curl Cup Padang-Padang in Bali, Indonesia!

Surfing and Forex have a lot in common: waiting for the right moment, chasing waves, the feeling of elation when you’re on peak. OctaFX partners up with Rip Curl Indonesia for an ultimate tube-riding contest!

After 11 years of awesome the Rip Curl Cup is back with a fresh format and new invitees, held at the same incredible wave, Padang Padang (Uluwatu, Bali).

Indonesia’s longest running and most prestigious event, the Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang draws competitors from all over the world, and this year is no different. The Rip Curl Cup’s slogan is It’s On When It’s On, and the waiting period is from August 1 to August 31. In 2015 the waiting period has been cut to four weeks, the quality of conditions required to run has been ramped up from incredible to perfect, and the field has been reduced to 16 surfers, meaning heats will be man-on-man throughout and that competition can easily be run in one day.

Apart from the main prize from Rip Curl, we’ve also prepared a special nomination for the best surfing performance – OctaFX company will present Best Tube Ride Award for the longest tube ride in the competition!

[B][U]Mitra Kukar FC, OctaFX Indonesian Football partners are champions![/U][/B]

OctaFX congratulates Indonesian Football club Mitra Kukar on becoming Champions of Sudirman Cup!

The Cup was held across the whole country and all prominent Indonesian FCs took part in it: Arema, Persib, PS TNI, Semen Padang, Surabaya United, Pusamania Borneo, Persela, Persipura, PSM Makassar, Bali United, Persija, Sriwijaya FC, Persipasi Bandung Raya, Gresik United.

We’re very proud that our team defeated all 15 contestants and fully deserved that title! The final match took place Saturday, January 24 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta and Mitra Kukar won Semen Padang 2-1!

We’re celebrating our team’s victory today and would like to remind you that every road to success starts with work and dedication.

Mitra Kukar team players were also distinguished individually: Rudolof Yanto Basna has become Best Player of the Championship and Patrick Dos Santos has become a Top Scorer of the Championship.

[B][U]Saints Foundation score at Saint Mary’s stadium with the help of OctaFX[/U][/B]

Football is a big part of our society and is world-recognised as a universal sport in many countries. It educates and inspires people of all ages, brings people and communities together.

OctaFX, in conjunction with the Saints Foundation, Southampton FC kindly donated pitch playing time for a lucky group from the Fustal programme. We are helping to enable young people to gain an education while playing the sport.

The Saints Foundation’s Futsal and Education Scholarship was created in 2011 and started with 16 scholars. The course now has 76 full-time scholars, including the club’s first ever girls’ team who are currently fourth in the league.

OctaFX has recently helped facilitate the opportunity for a group of young people to play within Saint Mary’s stadium. An experience such as this has given these young people a much deserved reward and morale boost for all their hard work, during their past 2-years of study. On the day, a great game was played by both teams and the players enjoyed the event immensely.

This combination of studying and playing sport has proved incredibly successful, with former students now undertaking football scholarships in the US, university study in the UK, and work opportunities with the Saints Foundation itself.

Many students from the group that played have been accepted to universities. The group who play at Saint Mary’s stadium on this day were also crowned FLT Fustal League 3 and League 4 National Champions as well as League 2 runners up.

As the scholars come to the end of the year they will be working hard to complete their studies before they go to compete in the FLT Futsal National Finals for the last time.

OctaFX is proud to be associated with the Saints Foundation as they are encouraging the youth of today to aspire through sports education, ensuring a brighter future.
