March? I bet we should be expecting more cases, or better still new pandemics.smfh!
Really, the government needs a better approach to eradicating these pandemics
A good many people - just donāt take any tests - because itās so mild - ring in with a day or two off thet they WILL pay for - or take it as holiday and DONāt Test !

I really hope that prediction does not turn out to be true!

I cannot see any data on the average age of 82 - would be great if you could link to that.
The reply to the FoI request was as follows:
Deaths from covid without pre-existing conditions for all of 2020 and Q1 of 2021:
Age 0-64 deaths 3,109
Age over 64 deaths 12,774
Total 15,883
Q2 and Q3 2021
Age 0-64 - deaths 665
Over 64 - deaths 823
Total 1,488
Grand total 17,371
Vaccinations effect in England began in Q2 2021 - there is a significant change in the numbers from that time.

Friend got it and was down for almost 2 weeks! Mainly headache, fever, body aches. Worst flu they ever had she said. Still thinks she has lingered symptons after, but itās already been over a month since testing positive.
Crazy to think that this week, the average deaths per day in the US is higher than it was at the peak last year, even with Omicron less severe. The 75+ year olds have been hardest hit in this most recent surge. Really sad.

Just once, I want some good news.
I needed that, thank you. The news cycles are all doom and gloom, itās so depressing.
Nothing wrong with taking a break from the news cycle once in a while. Stoicism has benefitted me greatly in these rough times - focusing on what we can control rather than what we cannot.
I wish I knew how. How do you do it?
I highly recommend Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and other sources on stoicism - youtube channels like Einzelganger are a great start. Not everything they say is a gospel but there are some valuable perspectives.
The world canāt catch a break. And with tech you know about stuff happening everywhere on the planet, good and bad.
