Seen a lot of traders mentioning the Act Trader platform. What do you guys think about it? Looking for honest feedback from Acttrader users.
Just installed it on my desktop. Its got 30 technical indicators. Plus the option of integrating more.
For all the algo traders I’d suggest the ACTFx strategy. It’s quite helpful in analyzing multiple charts. Even the positions and orders open/close automatically.
Been using MetaTraders all my life, idk do they work with regulated brokers as well?
Yep it does, with brokers having FSA regulation.
From experience, works with both NFA and FSA regulated brokers. But if I’m not wrong, only 20% currently use them. Is it true?
It is easy to use stops and limits on ActTrader. And unlike what a lot many traders believe about this platform, the SL values are not fixed. Right clicking anywhere in the position record will give the option of changing stop or limit prices.
Downloading Acttrader on my win10 desktop took just a couple of seconds. I believe I’m one of the 20% users of this humble platform (if that percentage is to be believed). My experience has been pretty alright with it, so I have a reason to believe that more traders are using it.
I know for a fact that it can be used with Cysec regulated brokers as well. I am using this on Fxview, and Fxview is Cysec-regulated. And FYI, I think it’s one of the better trading platforms out there. Can be customised to an extent.
Planning to try my hands at forex trading, got in touch with Oanda and fxview (finalised these 2).
Can trade only with mt4 on Oanda. Curious to explore mt5 and actrader too.
Backtesting on historical data is what I like the most
FYI, IG doesn’t support mt5 and acttrader if you are considering them. They are available with mt4.
I haven’t faced many issues so far with using an act trader. Been using it with etoro, fxview and axitrader. Slightly better with fxview as one can play around with customisations.
IG? Who is asking?
Looks like someone lost the way (and mind too!)
So sorry, my fault. Actually, I am using MT4 with IG and Oanda. I wished they both would have allowed mt5 as well. I run them parallely on 2 of my PCs. Was to say Oanda.
Yes, but you won’t find plenty of brokers with NFA providing EAs.
Forex com does but misses only on Acttrader. However, I don’t use it too often but mostly like twice or so on my fxview account.
Tend to use mt4 more often as I started with it and maybe that’s why find it much easier.
Are you sure fxview is NFA regulated? Seems like a new broker holding a single regulation.
no, I guess not. But it does hold other regulations like FCA, BaFin, CONSOB, ACPR. Could check their site.
AvaFx is your answer.
