Over Analyzing: Don't Do It!

Hello all, my first post here.

I don’t spend much time on forums but Im disturbed to see How many people who Spew the same things over & over again. I also see a lot of nay-Sayers that dash hopes and goals because they seem to “know” what’s possible and what’s not.

I’m here to offer some advice, take it or leave it. It makes no difference to me.

First, trading is an art, reason I say that is the way I see my charts may not be the same way somebody else sees a chart. Even if your following a method or a plan. similar to the way artist interpret what they are painting.

Second, DO NOT over analyze a chart, there is really nothing more frustrating then spending an exponential amount of time on a trade setup, being very confident in it to only have it move against you or in the complete opposite direction. That I feel is a big part of new traders quitting before they get there “Ah Ha!” Moment. Find the quickest and most efficient way to find your trades with out guessing, just be confident in your trade but always know it can move against you. It’s part of the game, move on.

Lastly, & this is my biggest tip…everything you need to know is IN the candlesticks…look for your trade patterns and setups in there. you should be watching candlesticks…trust me you’ll thank me later.

Cheers!

Its good advice mate.

I always try to stick to the principle that you have to know what you’re looking for before you start searching, otherwise the search will never end. Or you just take the first buy signal that is seen.

Its disheartening how many people obviously look at a chart to see what jumps out at them, rather than deciding what they’re going to look for first.

I am totally agree with 4see. Trading is really an art. It’s not like mathematics that you set a formula to get fix answer. Using the same trading method and seeing the same analyzing different trader are getting different result. Why! Because the way of looking varies from traders to trader. In the beginning I also used to do over analyzing and really its very true that it was so frustrating that I also change my this trading nature.

Well you’ve been here 6 hours, read 4 posts and managed to reach this conclusin about our community and type it up for submission 3 hours ago

No doubt we’ll be hearing more shortly about why “Your method” is so different.

ive been an unregistered member browsing these forums, I’ll admit that I don’t spend much time on here. I’m sure there are plenty of amazing members on this site offering great advice. I’m just giving a few bits of advice to breakup the monotony, nothing ground breaking but it needs to be said.

You will not be seeing a “Method” from me
