Be very careful what you ask for on forums. Fortunately, on here, it is doubtful that any member will want to take advantage of you. Of course, I could be wrong. But what I did do (as trials separated by seven years) is to follow gaming tipsters and lost in both cases about US$2k each time before I concluded that their “proven historical edge just ran out of luck the day I joined their service”.
I also have an antidote for the effective EA. It’s called “understanding confirmation bias” which has helped me a lot in modifying my behaviour when reading about Get Rich Quick schemes. For the past ten years I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of “get rich slow schemes” and guess what? A lot of them end up working out as well or better than planned. But they are all dressed up in coveralls and look like hard work.

The greatest difficulty in EA trading is the EA itself. IMO,all current EAs on sale have a short life span, profitable or not. Fortunately, the FX markets do have repeat patterns that - for pro traders - increase the probability of identifying a profitable trade without the need of an EA.
It needs years of trading experience and months of dedicated hard work backtesting every nuance of the markets. Only dedicated pros have the time and energy to create a long-term one that is consistently profitable. And those pros will most likely, only trade the ‘big’ majors, i.e. EUR/USD, GBP/USD,USD/JPY & USD/CAD.
And come hell or high water, they’re not going to share it with you.

Thanks so much, the reading and trying out has been amazing. I have learnt a lot theoretically, but most times with all indicators giving buy or sell signal once I enter, the opposite happens. Please what strategy do you use. I am open to learn and follow get rich slow scheme am not in a hurry. Thanks
Thanks so much, I appreciate. I should be looking for trading tools and strategies to add to my bag and keep testing them. The only issue I have is which should I start with?
For the past four months I have been creating a strategy and plan based on VP’s teachings also known as NoNonesenseForex. Just do a search engine search for NNFX. I have to warn you I have spent over 200 hours on this project to date, but that does include listening to every one of his podcasts and watching over 100 of his videos. I maintain an 80 page notebook that will eventually become my long term trading plan. I am at the stage of selecting and confirming the six main pillars on which the plan is based.
His style of teaching, and now I understand why he has done this, is useful for anyone who really has the three attributes to become a successful trader. And I mean that in buckets and spades. Initiative, discipline and patience. I know I have all three, but I am yet to demonstrate to myself that I have a trading edge - after over 15 years. Go for it. You are so young, you have much time for get rich slow schemes.
