Not at all, im hopeless at poker, still don’t understand most of it lol

Been playing online since I was 16, so three years now. Not playing that much at the moment tho, full tilt got my bankroll…

I play facebook poker all the time. I am pretty good with it and it does help build patience on wait for that high probability hand. Alot like forex as we wait for the high probability trade. It can get frustrating but it deffently pays to wait.

Good at SNG’s, sucked at cash games. Gave it up after the DOJ crackdown.

Sorry to hear that. Online poker is generally bad to play these days. Bots are getting smarter. Players are also getting smarter. The US is cracking down on American players.

There are so many similarities between the psychology of poker and of trading. I love playing a few hands of holdem :slight_smile:

Played for 2 years online. Started playing tournaments and then mainly cash games. Did pretty well but I found it became mentally draining multi-tabling every day for hours. Money also became harder to make for me at least as I hit the bigger tables.

Good bankroll management and desensitizing yourself from the everyday swings of wins/losses in Poker served me well so far learning to trade Forex. Also trading a method you know is profitable thru ups and downs (keep pushing your edge as in Poker) also is a important factor I took with me here.

I played a lot of poker and also FT has my BR now. Stupid thing. i dont think i am ever getting it back

I played for a living for about 18 months, then in 2006 a combination of a family medical situation and UIGEA made me go and get a “real” job. I live in Las Vegas so I still go out and play every now and then.

I’ve been playing poker for a little over twenty years now. I’ve maintained my edge fairly consistently.

Variance is a killer in Poker. Makes forex seem like a cake walk. You have my respect.

wow, nice one. have you had any experience with spread betting? does that have any similiarites to poker?

IMO risk management & tilt control from poker translate well to forex.

I’ve been playing online poker with real money since I was 14-15. But I was never really that good. I ended spending the last couple of years practising my card counting and hitting the house instead on the high limit blackjack tables. :smiley:

Made $2500 the other day playing tournaments, feels good =)
