Political Opinion

Patience, my friend. This is a multi-step process.

The Sheriff has a narrow mandate: To investigate crime which occurs within his jurisdiction — Maricopa County, Arizona, with 4 million residents — and to arrest suspects, if they can be identified and apprehended. He is not a prosecutor; that’s the courts’ business. And he doesn’t have the power to prohibit future actions by anyone; that power rests with the state legislature, or (possibly, in this case) with the state election board.

The Sheriff has been very careful not to overstate the results of his Posse’s investigation. He has said simply that his department has determined that there is probable cause to declare the birth certificate presented by Obama to be a forgery, as is Obama’s Selective Service (military service) registration card. Further, he has said that his investigation has identified the computer on which Obama’s birth certificate was manufactured; and his investigation has identified a “person of interest” in the creation of the fake birth certificate.

Even after repeated prodding by reporters, the Sheriff has refused to accuse Obama of anything. Think of it as similar to counterfeiting currency. If you pass a counterfeit $100 note (or, in your case, a counterfeit €100 note), and it is detected and seized, you will likely be questioned, but you will not automatically be charged as the maker of the counterfeit currency. You may have passed the counterfeit note innocently. The counterfeiter is yet to be identified.

In Obama’s case, he will not likely be questioned directly by anyone, except perhaps a courageous reporter. Obama has built multiple firewalls around everything in his background.

Obama has spent more than $1 million — probably campaign contributions, and this is probably a crime, in itself — to seal, destroy, or conceal every record of his birth, his immigration into the United States, his citizenship-status at the time he attended various U.S. colleges and universities (on scholarship, and reportedly as a foreign-exchange student), and certain periods of “employment” prior to becoming an Illinois state senator.

Obama’s fingerprints will not be found at any step in the manufacture of his fake birth certificate. I’m guessing that he will never be officially linked to the forgery.

The whole question of who has jurisdiction to proceed from this point forward is wide open. Sheriff Arpaio has said that he doesn’t know what the next step will be.

It’s important for every voter in America to know that this fraud has been perpetrated on all of us. Every citizen in every town and county in this country has been defrauded by Obama, because he is not — and he knows that he is not — qualified, under the Constitution, to be president of the United States.

Now we, the electorate, know what we need to know. It’s up to us to rid this nation of the Obama-menace in November — whether the states, or the Justice Department, or the FBI, or the Supreme Court do anything about this, or not.

Obama fooled us once, and shame on him. — If he fools us again, shame on us.

“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.” My favorite Bushism

Nice post, Clint.

Of course I know that a mere Sheriff does not have authority in a matter as grave as this.
I’d hoped, or expected, however, that the offices in whose power decisions like this lie would take some kind of action … provided the case that irrefutable evidence has indeed been provided by the Posse.

Oh well, it’s been only a few days since the press conference, so one may hope that something more than short-lived outrage will result from it.

Looking at Russia, where Putin has just been re-elected (with a 67% majority, which reeks of fraud), I only hope that something similar will not happen in the US.
I certainly wouldn’t be surprised at Obama and his thugs attempting to rig an election in their favour. Just look into his wife’s face when she speaks of white people, to be convinced she’d do anything for her husband to remain in power.

Obama’s Enemies List

"Mr. Obama is prepared to get in the gutter to get reelected. Scorched Earth will be the approach.

“As his reelection gets more difficult, expect his list of enemies to grow. Any conservative Republican who breathes is now a target.”

Eric Golub, writing in the Washington Times.

Here’s a recent article from the Wall Street Journal by former Solicitor General of the United States, Ted Olson.

From the Rasmussen Reports, May 13, 2011

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky), speaking from the floor of the Senate
on the Boeing Corp. plant location controversy, and aiming his questions squarely at Obama:

“Mr. President, do you have an enemies list?” Paul asked. “Is this decision based on the fact that South Carolina appears to be a Republican state, has two Republican senators? Is this decision based on the fact that South Carolina is a ‘right to work’ state? Are they on your enemies list?”

Paul didn’t stop there – blasting Obama for his recent threat to require government contractors to disclose donations to groups that participate in political activities.

“The president has said now that he’s going to ask contractors who do business with the government ‘Who have you contributed to?’” he said. “Mr. President, do you have en enemies list? Will you now punish contractors who have given money to Republican candidates? I’m concerned – there are two Republican Senators from Kentucky. Are we on your enemies list? Is Alabama on your enemies list? Is Texas on your enemies list?”

Proud to be on Obama’s Enemies List

“Origin of Left and Right”

'I have often wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the "right"
and Liberals are called the “left.” ’

By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible:

"The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left."
Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

Thus sayeth the Lord. Amen.

Can’t get any simpler than that.

Sorry that I circulated a lie. I really thought it was real so thanks for the clarification and thanks for the link.

So, Michelle Obama is going to appear on David Letterman’s show tonight.

You remember Letterman — he’s the a-hole on CBS TV who masquerades as a comedian.

He likes to make crude jokes about the daughters of conservative women.

Tonight, Letterman won’t be smearing Michelle’s family, of course.

Letterman, after all, is not an equal-opportunity a-hole.

So, don’t expect any jokes about Michelle’s daughter getting knocked up by Bill Maher at a Democrat fund-raiser.

Instead, Letterman will suck up to Michelle with polite chit-chat.

Maybe he’ll get her talking about her new book Exercises for a Big Butt.

Speaking of fund-raisers, a million-dollar donation does buy a lot of “access” — right, Bill?

+1

The Palin joke was below the belt. I’ll never watch him again.

I never understood why anyone thinks letterman is funny??? He is so boring and corny I’d rather watch reruns instead

Agreed theres a certain Hardees commercial that comes to mind.

We used to get Letterman repeats over here (UK), I always found his one liners where he would then leave a pause for everyone to laugh a bit cringeworthy - I never laughed. They don’t even show his show over here, any more (unless it has been moved to some graveyard slot I’m unaware of).

So is Gingrich going to withdraw? Would that make any difference to Santorum’s chances? Or is it already a done deal?

Hello, ST

Sorry to be so late in replying to your post. (Life has been intruding on my forum participation.)

The short answer to your question is that Romney does not have the Republican nomination locked up; but, mathematically, he is the odds-on favorite to win the nomination, given the current field of candidates.

As for Gingrich, he hates to lose, and therefore he hates to quit. But, no one can predict what Gingrich might do. (As Yogi Berra said, “It’s tough to make predictions, especially about the future.”) If Gingrich quits the race, the odds for Romney and Santorum obviously will change, depending on whether Gingrich throws his support behind Santorum.

Here’s a longer answer. The 50 states and several U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, etc.) are allotted delegates (to the Republican Convention) according to the number of registered Republican voters in each jurisdiction. In some states, the winner of the primary election wins all the delegates allotted to that state; whereas in some states, the delegates up for grabs are divided among the primary candidates in proporition to the percentage of the total vote that each of them wins. In any case, a Convention delegate, once awarded to a particular primary candidate, becomes committed to vote for that candidate on the first ballot at the Convention.

If Romney goes to the Convention having 1,144 committed delegates, then he will win the Republican nomination on the first ballot. Romney is just shy of having 50% of the necessary delegates.

Here’s a graphic showing who’s got what:

It’s mathematically possible for another candidate to overtake Romney in the remaining state primaries, and lock up the nomination by the time of the Convention — but, this is probably very unlikely.

It’s also mathematically possible for the remaining 1,258 delegates to be divided among the four primary candidates in such a way that none of them has the required 1,144 committed delegates necessary to clinch the nomination. In this case, we would have a “brokered convention”, in which a lot of deal-making and horse-trading (at the Convention) would shift delegates from one or more candidates to an ultimate winner. Until modern times, all political conventions in the U.S. selected their candidates for president and vice president that way.

My guess is that the most likely primary outcome is: Romney goes to the Convention with the nomination in hand.

The second most likely outcome is: Romney goes to the Convention with the most delegates, but short of 1,144. Then, the resulting brokered convention will be a bit of a bar-brawl, possibly with everyone involved getting a couple of black eyes, and with Romney ultimately getting the nomination.

I think an unlikely outcome would be a win for either Gingrich or Santorum at a brokered convention.

And, the least likely outcome of all, in my opinion, would be an outright win for either Gingrich or Santorum, by delegate-count, prior to the Convention.

Coming up in the next few weeks:

April 3 — primaries in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Wisconsin — total delegates available: 96

April 24 — primaries in Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island — total delegates: 226

May 8 — primaries in Indiana, North Carolina and West Virginia — total delegates: 129

The remaining delegates will be decided between May 15 and June 26, in primaries in 11 states (including the largest states, by delegate-count, California and Texas). The Republican Convention will be August 27-30, in Tampa, Florida.

As for me, I will vote for whichever Republican candidate survives this process, and goes up against Obama in November, even if that Republican turns out to be Crazy Uncle Ron.

Following primary elections in Wisconsin, Washington, D.C., and Maryland yesterday (Tuesday, April 3), here are the updated delegate counts for the Republican nomination for president:

I am not an USA citizen, but Dr Ron Paul looks to me to be the only sane and decent person of the bunch

I agree thats why he has no votes. Unfortunately it calls to question the sanity of my people. Just look on the bright side 5 more years and I can run for president
